What We Do

Our main focus is to save our customers every penny they can on their electricity and gas bills by providing adequate loft and cavity wall insulation and making their properties more energy efficient. Also, on the energy side of things we want to ensure that our customers are not paying any extra than they have to on their gas and electricity bills. We are also currently working on dual measure Boiler and Under floor Insulations under the Government funded scheme.

 

 

 

 

About the ECO Scheme

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain to help reduce carbon emissions and tackle fuel poverty.

The scheme focuses on the installation of insulation and heating measures to make your home more energy efficient.  

Boiler, Under Floor Insulations, Loft/Cavity Wall Insulation/ External/Internal Wall Insulation

35% of heat is lost through the roof of poorly insulated properties. Roof and loft insulation is usually the most efficient measure as it has the greatest effect.

Most houses built after 1920 have a cavity between the walls. This is filled with an insulating material to greatly improve the efficiency of the house.

By filling that space with insulation hot air gets trapped making it harder for it to escape through the walls. Putting insulation in the space is quick to do and can be done from the outside of the house. You will be saving 30% on your energy bills by having your home insulated.

 

Boiler

To qualify for the free boiler you need to be a private home owner or a tenant on certain benefits and on low income to meet the qualifying criteria for the ECO boiler replacement grant. The eligibility is subject to a free survey of your property conducted by qualified assessors.

The survey will determine if you are eligible for a 100% free boiler grant or if a contribution would be required. The installation will be carried out by Gas Safe Registered Installers.

Energy Switch
